Clair Obscur Expedition Devs Address Potential Photo Mode And More
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 may not have been in the spotlight heading into 2025, but it's quickly proven to be one of this year's sleeper hits with more than 3.3 million copies sold since its release in late April. As the game has expanded to reach a wider audience, Sandfall Interactive--the developer behind the title--has received more specific requests from players including for a potential photo mode. And it sounds like that's something the devs want to see as well.
During an appearance on Final Fantasy Union, art director Nicholas Maxon fielded the question about a Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 photo mode. While answering the inquiry, he revealed that a photo mode has been requested internally as well.
"It is very high on the list of things we want to do because obviously it's requested a lot, even internally people from the team just wanting a photo," noted Maxon. "It's a lot more work than some [...] stuff, but it's definitely something that we would like to do."
