Kindle Fire HD Plus Tablet Is Over Off Ahead Of Prime Day
Prime Day is quickly approaching, but if you’re in the market for an affordable tablet, there’s no need to wait until July 8. Amazon is currently dropping the price of its Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (32GB) to just $55 (was $120)--bringing it to the lowest price we’ve ever seen. There’s also an excellent deal for the 64GB model, and you can snag a preowned Amazon Fire HD 10 for just $70 (was $120). All three are limited-time deals, though it’s unclear when they’ll disappear.
2022 Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus
32GB: $55 (was $120) | 64GB: $85 (was $150)
While these aren’t the latest models of the tablet, they’re still powerful enough for all your daily computing needs, such as browsing the web or streaming TV shows. Equipped with 3GB RAM, a 2MP front-facing camera, a 5MP rear-facing camera, up to 13 hours of battery life, and a durable 8-inch HD display, it’s a pretty great value at just $55.
If you’re worried about storage space, the 64GB version is on sale for $85. However, both tablets feature a microSD card slot, allowing you to add up to 1 TB of additional storage space.
Available apps include Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and Showtime. Google Play is not supported, but you’ll find most of the big apps and games compatible with the Fire HD 8 Plus, so give it a look if you need an affordable tablet that can handle all the basics. Note that this version of the tablet features an ad-supported lockscreen.
For comparison, the newest Amazon Fire HD 8 starts at $100.
Amazon Fire HD 10 (Preowned)
$70 (was $120)
Want something with a larger display? A preowned, like-new version of the Fire HD 10 is on sale for $70 (was $120). Along with a 10.1-inch 1080p screen, it gets you a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, a microSD card slot, 3GB RAM, and the same 13-hour battery life of the Fire HD 8 Plus. It also features an ad-supported lock screen.
Although it’s preowned, Amazon tests each device to ensure its functionality and quality. Amazon's refurbishment process includes secure data wipes and replacement of faulty hardware, so it should feel like a brand-new tablet.
These tablets aren’t the only great Amazon products on sale ahead of Prime Day. A long list of Amazon Fire 4K TVs and soundbars are seeing nice discounts right now--giving you a cheap way to upgrade your home theater. There’s also a fantastic limited-time deal on the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, as it’s just $25 (was $50).
