Splitgate Battle Royale Mode Out Now Alongside Splitgate Official Release

After teasing a major announcement all week, 1047 Games has revealed something new for its free-to-play shooter Splitgate 2, which has its 1.0 launch today. The announcement at Summer Game Fest 2025 was that Splitgate 2 is not only getting a battle royale mode, but that it's out now alongside Splitgate 2.

Take a look at the launch trailer below. "Yes, we actually did it," the developer said about launching a battle royale mode.

Splitgate creator Ian Proulx published a thank-you message to fans for the game's 1.0 launch today, writing, "From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I appreciate this community more than you know."
