Catch Me If You Can was adapted from the book co-written by Frank Abagnale Jr., a real-life conman, and author Stan Redding. DiCaprio plays Abagnale in the film, who infamously passed himself off as a Pan American airline pilot, doctor, and several other highly trained professions at a young age. Abagnale's schemes would eventually attract the attention of the FBI, with one dogged agent--played by Hanks--chasing him from state to state. If you're interested in checking out the original book, you can grab the Catch me If You Can paperback edition for $10 at Amazon (was $19), or the Audible audiobook version for $15.75 (was $18).
The audiobook is also included at no extra charge as part of the Audible Premium Plus streaming library, which you can access for just $1/month three months if you sign up for the service before December 16. Along with the library of content, you also get one Audible credit each month that lets you buy any audiobook on Amazon, and they're yours to keep forever, even if you cancel. Basically, the deal gives you three audiobooks over a few months for just $3. The subscription plan will roll over to the normal $15/month after three months, unless you cancel before the promotional period is over.
