Streamer Emiru Disputes Twitchs Account Of Assault Response At TwitchCon

Popular Twitch streamer Emiru has publicly challenged Twitch's official response following an assault at her TwitchCon meet-and-greet, calling its statement "a blatant lie." The incident, which was caught on video, shows a man bypassing event barriers to approach Emiru, grabbing her face in an attempt to kiss her before being shoved away by a security guard.

While Twitch claimed in a statement that the individual was "immediately" removed and banned, Emiru contests that the response was delayed and ineffective, adding that Twitch staff failed to intervene or check on her well-being afterward.

Someone assaulted Emiru at her Meet & Greet at Twitchcon. Security pushes the perpetrator away, but then turns back and allows the man to walk away. (???) Emiru comes back shortly after to continue meeting fans.

The platform claimed it had blocked the individual from returning to the event and issued a permanent ban from Twitch and its associated events. However, Emiru's detailed recount of the events suggests a significant discrepancy between Twitch's official narrative and what she says occurred on the ground.
