Witcher Beta Invites Are A Scam Dev Warns

CD Projekt Red has warned Witcher fans that scammers are trying to take advantage of their enthusiasm for the franchise by sending scam emails inviting them to a Witcher 4 beta that does not exist. "This is a scam!" the developer said.

In a post on social media from the game's official account, the studio said it's taken steps to "take this fraudulent messaging down," but in case you still receive an email, be warned--it's a scam.

"If you receive any invites to or stumble upon news of one, we kindly ask you to report the scam using the tools available to you in your email client or the social media platform you are using," the developer said. "Remember: Professional monster slayers don't fall for scams; they see right through them and slay them!"
